Can a keto vegan diet reverse type 2 diabetes?

Can a vegetarian diet treat type 2 diabetes?

A vegetarian diet has a great effect on blood sugar levels, which leads to a decrease in the proportion of anti-diabetic drugs as well as insulin. Reducing insulin also leads to a significant weight loss, which is an additional benefit for diabetics.

With the remarkable increase in the number of type 2 diabetes patients over the past three decades, controlling type 2 diabetes has become the most important public health challenge in the world. According to the Indian website "ndtv", a vegetarian diet can help in managing diabetes from Type 2
How a vegetarian can help people with type 2 diabetes

Studies have shown that a low-fat, low-glycemic vegetarian diet improves blood sugar control to a large extent, and raw foods that contain high dietary fiber are associated with lowering cholesterol and reducing blood sugar after eating.

A vegetarian diet includes vegetables, grains, fruits and high dietary fiber, which have been known to be associated with lowering blood cholesterol, loss of urine blood glucose, and lowering of postprandial blood sugar.

Studies indicate that these foods protect against diabetes, and on the contrary, animal products that include foods such as meat, eggs, poultry and dairy products rich in saturated fats are associated with insulin resistance, heart disease and some forms of cancer.
A vegetarian diet also lowers systolic blood pressure and has a lower glycemic index, as it contains a greater amount of dietary carbohydrates, sugars that do not contain starch and polyunsaturated fats.

The results showed that after following a vegetarian diet, a significant decrease in blood glucose levels was observed after fasting, which in turn reduces the requirements for anti-diabetic drugs, but in this case the sugar must be monitored daily and its dose adjusted to avoid any episode of hypoglycemia.

A vegetarian diet also reduces the percentage of people who need insulin and oral hypoglycemic agents to keep their blood sugar levels at a normal level.
